Tackling Issues: WordPress Not sending emails
I received a service call last week because one of my clients was not receiving emails from their contact form to their email. I was unsure. It didn’t take me long to realize there is an issue with WordPress Not sending emails.
This article will be useful to you if....
If you designed your website with WordPress, and You are using Godaddy or another organization other than Microsoft to host your emails.
This issue may not affect you, but this is a very common issue.
The Cause
When you host your emails with an organization other than Microsoft The software will work as intended, however when you receive an email from an email form or other types of software the email provider will completely block the email.
The Solution
I spoke with a very knowledgeable Tech Support rep at Godaddy.com and he fixed the issue for me. I had to ask him “How did you fix this” At the time I spend the better part of the day working on this.
He went over step by step how he solved the issue, and how I can fix it if it happens to me again in the future.
